The lovely lady who checked me in was very helpful with local knowledge. Barnew and his staff played pool with me and I was made feel very welcome will definitely stay again š thank you šPosted on Mark GreenhalghTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Suited me for it's location and good pricePosted on ChrisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hotel seemed a little rough. Room had not been cleaned, bedding was dirty and old beer glasses were left in the room. No one was avaliable when we tried to contact them. We decided to drive an hour to another hotel rather than stay.Posted on ravi RadTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I wouldnāt even give this hotel one star. The bed creaked constantly whenever I moved, making it impossible to sleep. The sound insulation is extremely poor ā I could clearly hear snoring from the next room throughout the night. The bathroom was uncomfortably small, with barely enough space to stand properly. Based on the experience, I would value this hotel at no more than Ā£10 per night.Posted on o mirzaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Room was absolutely freezing cold, the radiators don't work, the beds are old and the springs creaked and moaned with ever bit of movement. Shower was very small had to squeeze into it. Walls are very thin you can hear everything in adjacent room. The provided wifi kept dropping. I slept 2 floors up and could hear the bar music downstairs (wasn't very loud when you're downstairs either). There was no soap provided and no iron in the rooms. AVOIDPosted on sophiaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fine room. Had to provide my own soap (you can ask at reception but i had bought some with me anyway). Wardrobe was a bit flimsy and falling apart. Bed was clean and comfy, kettle and tea making things provided. Breakfast was nice. There were noisey guests that arrived at 2am which i could hear quite well but oh well.Posted on Amarvir Singh-BalTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Honest Review of The Hampton Hotel I am giving this hotel at least one star because the room was ensuite and included a kettle with sachets of coffee, which was a small positive. However, there were several issues that stood out during my stay: 1. There was no soap or hand wash provided in the bathroom. 2. There was no iron available for pressing clothes. 3. The room did not have a heater, which made it quite cold at night. 4. The hotel and corridors had a strong smell of smoke throughout. 5. The WiFi connection kept dropping repeatedly. 6. The phone number listed for the hotel did not work, so I could not inform staff about my late arrival. 7. The bed was very firm and caused some back discomfort. 8. Noise levels were high, and I could clearly hear conversations from both the hallway and the next room. Overall, while the ensuite setup and coffee facilities were appreciated, the lack of basic amenities and maintenance made the stay uncomfortable.Load more
A little rough around the edges, but for the price you really can not have any complaints! Clean, comfortable bed, small bathroom ensuite – and lovely staff. Breakfast was also tasty and set us up for the day!
For a place to crash when exploring the local area, this is perfect – as long as you won’t be put off by the odd scrape and scratch here and there in the rooms!
